Xda-Developers announces better support (Read dedicated sections) for Indian Devices

Xda-developers, one of the largest online tech communities, has announced that it will provide better support for Indian devices from now on. An article on the Xda Portal purported that the lack of dedicated forum sections for Indian devices made it difficult for moderators as well as users to manage/use the fora effectively.

There are some good effects of every thing. Thanks to India's huge population, which (obviously) leads to insane numbers of smartphone users from the country. As the number of Android users in India is enormous, by domino effect, a large percentage of traffic to Xda forums is India.

Till now, most devices by Indian local brands lacked a special forum on xda. And the fact that Micromax and Karbonn alone account for over 34% of smartphones sold in India, Xda witnessed lot of these users posting in the general sections. This problem will now be solved.

A list of the Indian devices fora for which have already been added are:

  • Micromax: Canvas 4 A210, Canvas 2 Plus A110Q, Canvas Turbo A250, Canvas Magnus A117, Canvas Doodle A111, Canvas Doodle 2 A240
  • Lenovo: K900, A850, A3000, P780
  • Samsung: Galaxy Grand 2
  • Lava: Xolo Q1000
  • Karbonn: A21
Xda has also made it easier to filter Indian devices. This can be done by either visiting http://forum.xda-developers.com/india or a shorter http://xda.in

If you are fairly active on xda-developers and your device doesn't have a dedicated forum yet, you can post a request here. Make sure that you don't clutter the thread if a request for your device has already been registered.
