How to get Nokia X wallpapers on ANY mobile phone

Some Xda members have got hold of the Nokia X, and as we would've expected from a Xda member, Nokia X files have been ripped apart and made available online for use on other Android phones. Xda Recognized Contributor -Caliban666- took the time to upload Nokia X stock wallpapers - among other things.

If you have been a regular at Droidiser, you might know that we had covered a guide showing you how you can extract the wallpapers out of any Android device you own pretty easily.

A word of caution before you start with the procedure: As Nokia X has a low-res screen (480x800), if your Android device has a resolution greater than Nokia X, the wallpapers might not look great.

Here's how you can apply Nokia X stock wallpapers on your Android phone right now.
  • Download the Nokia X stock wallpapers zip here.
  • Extract the files and find the wallpapers inside the Nokia X Stock Wallies folder.
  • Send the wallpapers to your phone's internal or external storage.
  • Go to your home screen and change your wallpaper.
  • Though most of you wouldn't have needed a step by step guide for this process till now, here's the pro tip: Wallpapers on most Android phones scroll with the screen. This causes the phone to require wallpapers of higher resolutions than the phone has. As Nokia X's wallpapers are 480x800 in size, they won't look great if cropped out like general Android wallpapers.
  • To solve this problem, you need to install a third party launcher like Apex Launcher. In Apex, go to Apex Settings > Homescreen Settings > Wallpaper Mode and set it as Single screen (non-scrolling). Similar setting is present in most third party launchers.
  • Enjoy the new wallpapers on your smartphone.

If you own a phone that doesn't run Android operating system, just extract the wallpapers and send them over to your device. Then follow the method you usually use to change your phone's wallpaper.
