Motorola India reveals details about its service centers prior to Moto G launch

Motorola India has decided to give a breather to those who were concerned about where they will get thei Moto G serviced once the phone launches in India. The concerns were reasonable as Motorola had rolled up its business in India.

Just before the launch of the much awaited Moto G on February 5, Motorola Mobility updated its site with details about the new service centers of the smartphone manufacturer in India. Motorola has managed to gear up 80 service centers across 21 states and U.T.s in India. The number looks small when we look at other brands reputed for providing good after-sales service, but is still a decent number to go ahead with for the launch of a single device. The pdf document present at Motorola's official website can be downloaded here. As this document states, this list was updated by Motorola on 23rd of January.

In related news, Motorola Mobility has been acquired by Lenovo for $2.9 billion. Motorola has confirmed that this won't affect the launch of the Moto G in India. Even though the deal itself will take months to complete and thus for the ownership to transfer from Google to Lenovo, Lenovo eyes India as a market with huge potential, so you can stay sure of continued service and support for the device.

Before this deal was anywhere in the scene, Motorola had stated that Google treated it at par with other smartphone manufacturers and it didn't play any role in the swift Android updates Motorola provides to its devices.
