HTC takes cue from Moto Maker, launches "Double Dip" Customizable cases for HTC One

Now-a-days, when people spend a thousand dollar bill on a smartphone, they want it to reflect their personality. This demands personalization. Motorola started the trend of customizing the looks of smartphones by releasing the Moto X with Moto Maker which allowed people to (kinda) design their phone as per their will. Though not as brilliant, HTC has released Double Dip, a customizable hard case for the HTC One.

The Double Dip, though not with as many customizability options as Moto Maker has, allows the user to design their own hard cover for their HTC One. In all, the user can select the top color, the body color and the bottom color of the case. The Color options include Atlantis, Bright Peace, Glacier Gray, Navy Blue, Neon Lemon, and Pastel Blue. Using my (limited) knowledge of permutation and combination, this accounts for 216 color combinations. (Math Geeks should check if I'm wrong.) As a matter of fact (and for comparison's sake), Moto Maker allows 504 different color combinations, leaving the infinitely different engravings that can be inscribed on the Moto X.

A Double Dip will steal you off $30. Also, as of now, this is available only in US and we aren't sure whether this will be available global any time soon. So, if your HTC One's current look, though a beauty in itself, is boring you, check out the Double Dip case right now.
