All we know about HTC M8 (aka Two/One+) so far - March launch, specs, on-screen buttons and more colors

Whenever @evleaks has something to say (or leak), it must be listened seriously. This twitter account is famous for providing spot-on leaks and this time we've got some details about the expected launch dates of the HTC One 2/HTC Two/HTC M8 or whatever the successor to the HTC One is going to be called. According to @evleaks, the new flagship device from HTC will be launched somewhere around the end of March, if everything stays on schedule.

@evleaks also states that the device will be unveiled in the New York City, which is becoming the top choice for smartphone launches these days.

Other interesting leaks we have encountered about the HTC M8 are:
  • According to Shen Ye, XDA Moderator, the smartphone will be available in four different color options. Providing different color options is something new from HTC, as the Taiwenese manufacturer generally launches its phones in one or two colors only.
  • Just like the HTC One, HTC M8 will also have a Mini version of itself, tweets @evleaks. This phone is not likely to be launched along with the HTC M8, it might be launched a few months later. Nothing substantial about this phone's specifications has emerged yet.
  • HTC M8 might strip off the physical capacitive buttons, as we see in the Nexus devices these days. It will instead on-screen navigation bar which will be themed in accordance with the button designs we have seen on the One X and One.
  • The HTC M8 will probably run on Snapdragon 800 processor, have dual Ultra Pixel cameras and a 5 inch (or above) 2k QHD screen (1440x2560).
