Micromax A90S is the new kid in the town, from the house of Micromax. It is arguably the best Android smartphone from Micromax in terms of specs in this price segment. The device packs a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a 4.3 Inch Super Amoled Capacitive touch screen, which is certainly a notch above from Micromax A110, in terms of ppi density and screen quality (I prefer Super Amoled to IPS). The 8 megapixel back camera is another plus point I would recommend this one for. The A90S scores about 5400 in AnTuTu benchmark and 24 fps in NenaMark, which is more than decent given the more than justified price tag of INR 12,999.
The device has been rooted really early and ClockworkMod recovery has been ported too. That's another proof of the response local Indian Android devices are garnering from developers these days. Btw, I shall be writing a guide to install ClockworkMod Recovery seperately (and really soon) to prevent reader's comments from getting mixed up.
Update: If you are tired of filling up your internal sdcard with just one HD game, see how to use external sdcard as internal, once you root your device using the method below.
Before you root your device, make sure you know what rooting is and what can you do once you root your Android. If you have read both of these, by know, it must be clear to you that Rooting voids your Warranty and that by following the guide(s) below, your device can be harmed for which only you will be responsible.

Rooting Micromax A90S
Requirements: Your courage and common sense, Windows PC, Internet connection
- Enable USB Debugging on your device. That can be done by visiting Settings > Development > USB Debugging. You can also check out the other four things you must do as an Android user.
- Download Root_by_bin4ry_v15.zip (Roughly 2 MB in size).
- Install drivers for your Android device using Pdanet.
- Connect your A90S using a USB cable.
- Extract the file you downloaded in step 2 in your PC.
- Double click on the file named RunMe.bat from the extracted folder.
- A command prompt window will open, with a set of instructions that will eecute as you proceed through the process.
- To initiate the rooting sequence, you have to enter the device. As it will be evident from the command screen, the second option is for Xperia devices, and I doubt that your device belongs to that. So, choose the first option by inputting"1" and then hit enter.
- After some time, it will ask you to tap restore on your phone's screen. Doing that will reboot the device.
- You can give me a hug, and reserve an even tighter one for Bin4ry for his awesome rooting tool.
